#statmement

We, the local council of Aleppo, the legitimate, democratically-elected and representative of the civilians living in the liberated city of Aleppo. And concerned about the civilians of Aleppo, after all the atrocities committed by the Russian-Iranian coalition that support the terrorism of Assad regime, and the crimes committed by the terrorist YPG forces which was the main factor behind blocking Castillo Road, the only vital passage for the liberated areas in Aleppo. And believing that the body who brutally killed the civilians and destroying the infrastructure of the city can never be part of those working on alleviating the suffering of our afflicted people, we hereby announce the following:

The WFP coordination with a body who was a partner in killing the Syrian people is an indicator of alignment from the side of WFP. This contributes to adding legitimacy to those who committed crimes against the Syrian people and is considered as a support to the terrorism practiced by the Assad regime. Therefore, we refuse, as a legitimate body, the entry of any humanitarian, relief, medical or any other types of aid to the liberated areas unless there is previous coordination with the legitimate body accredited in the city, not through conditions imposed by the criminal regime who lost legitimacy.

We completely refuse using the Castillo Road, which is under the control of Assad regime and YPG mercenaries, who were partners in blocking the only vital road and turning it into a military, non-secure zone. The civilians’ cars and their bodies are still thrown at the sides of the road due to the crimes they committed against humanity there.

We demand the International Community and the United Nations to take their full humanitarian and ethical responsibility towards the civilians in the liberated areas and considering Ramouseh Road as a humanitarian passage to the liberated areas from Aleppo city. Using any other roads is considered as giving legitimacy and providing international coverage for making Ramouseh Road un-secure for entering humanitarian aid to the city as well as a clear participation in re-imposing a military siege over the city. Bearing in mind that Ramouseh Road is considered the only road to the liberated areas that ensures the entrance of life essentials for the civilians, as of the date of breaking the siege.

Mitigating the severity of killing and terrorism the Syrian people face can be done through taking decisive decisions and strict procedures against the Assad regime and those who assist it in killing the Syrian people, rather than providing relief aid that the Syrian people can sacrifice to achieve their goals in freedom and dignity, the goals that cost the Syrian people hundreds of thousands of martyrs.
