OIC Launches Urgent Appeal to Address The Deteriorating Humanitarian Situation in Syria
The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has been following with deep concern the deteriorating humanitarian situation faced by the Syrian people at home and the conditions of Syrian refugees in neighboring countries. The Secretary General has requested the OIC Humanitarian Department to wok out an urgent humanitarian program to face up to this dire situation. The Secretary General also paid tribute to the OIC Member States, financial institutions, humanitarian societies and philanthropes for their assistance in favour of bringing relief to the Syrian people who are facing a critical humanitarian crisis.
