We the people of Deir Ezzor, including activists, civil, social, media, popular, political and revolutionary committees

appeal to you the following

To stop the killing of civilians, including our sons and women, in the province of

Deir Ezzor, which is subjected to a double siege imposed by both, Daesh and Assad's

forces. They are both targeting civilians, either by the use of siege warfare and air-

strikes with all kinds of weapons which violate the international law, including clus-

ter and phosphoric bombs. They are also facing severe execution methods, ranging

from beheading to burning

There are more than 600 thousand civilians suffering under the siege imposed by

both, Assad and Daesh. 100 thousand out of 600 are living under a crippling and un-

human siege in the Assad regime controlled areas of Deir Ezzor. The rest are dying

on a regular basis in Daesh-held territory, which are devoid of most of the basic

needs, including food, water and medicines

Therefore, we appeal to you, based on international conventions, including the

Geneva Convention for Human Rights, to intervene and put an end to the arbitrarily

killing of civilians in areas of conflict Daesh is using civilians as human shields in

the province. It has established its offices and headquarters in domesticated areas.

In addition, the organization-run prisons have become filled with hundreds of civil-

ians In spite of the UN efforts to airdrop food aid for the trapped civilians, most of

those shipments have ended up into the hands of Assad's forces, worsening the civil-

ian situation It is very sad to see an entire population being killed by a criminal

regime while the world keeps watching in 21st century, which is expected to be the

century of freedom and humanity Civilians are dying in airstrikes by the Assad

regime, its allies and the Coalition on the pretext of fighting against terrorism. The

locals in Deir Ezzor are the most affected from terrorism we address your moral and

humanitarian duties towards the trapped and helpless civilians in Deir Ezzor and all

civilians in Syria, in general
