A Statement Issued by the Media Activists Union in Aleppo Province to Condemn the Conduct of the So-Called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights

In the shade of the fierce attack the Syrian regime forces supported by foreign militias and Russian war aircraft are

undertaking against the south and east Idlib countrysides and south Aleppo countryside, displacing innocent

civilians from their homes and seizing their land and livelihood, the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights

appears to us to justify the current advance for the regime forces and justify the fierce Russian attack with its

bombing of innocent civilian homes populated with the inhabitants of this region.

It is not hidden to anyone that the Syrian observatory in its editorial policies and transmission of news has become

a tool for the regime, offering it intelligence services that the regime itself cannot obtain, and the greater problem

is that this observatory is considered the only source for news for a large number of Arabic and global channels,

yet it is always altering facts and does not care about the Syrian people who are being killed every day by Russian

aircraft and the artillery, missiles and aircraft of the Syrian regime that has continued killing the Syrian people over

the course of seven years. For it uses all means for that purpose and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights,

which stands with this regime and is trying to improve its image in the global channels and global public opinion,

has become one of its most important means. For it participates in promoting the regime's media narrative that it

is waging war on terrorism and terrorists, when in truth it is a revolution in which people came out demanding their

freedom and dignity that were stolen over the course of decades of time by the Syrian regime and its security

branches.

In addition, this observatory tracks the errors of the revolutionaries in the liberated areas and portrays them as war

crimes against humanity that serve the regime, Russia and others besides them from their allies, while justifying the

murderous crimes of the Syrian regime against the Syrian people and portrays them as one of the types of

counter-terrorism.

So today the Syrian regime forces, Russia, Iran and different foreign militias are waging a comprehensive war on

the Syrian people that can only defend itself with its simple capabilities, for the world has abandoned it, and indeed

by the silence of this world, the killing and displacement against it by the regime, Russia and Iran have increased,

as no one is trying to deter them.

Therefore, we the media activists of free Aleppo province strongly condemn the conduct of the so-called Syrian

Observatory for Human Rights, which is participating through its pulpit in the increase of killing and displacement

against the Syrian people, and is participating in promoting the criminal and murderous regime that does not stop

killing its people, displacing it and occupying its lands through different types of weapons and with the help of

foreign mercenary militias brought from different countries of the world.

We urge the Arab and global channels to enter the liberated areas and transmit to global public opinion the truth

of what is happening from massacres against the people, and urge that these channels should stop working with

this lying observatory that the garment of neutrality and humanitarianism. In truth it is one of the most

important media and intelligence arms of the Syrian regime, whereas in the liberated areas there is a large number

of media foundations, media activists and civil rights activists of the field who live among the people and suffer

their sufferings, so they are to be considered truthful and realistic sources of news. These channels can work with

them as truthful sources to transmit news.
