The Syrian Coalition urges the United Nations to disclose details of the agreement reached with Assad’s regime on the chemical weapons investigation in Syria.

Mr. Ake Sellstrom must officially declare the results of his recent visit to Damascus. We urge Mr. Sellstrom to issue periodic reports so that the Coalition and its affiliated institutions can stay informed about all developments. The Coalition must know of this information since some of the locations where Assad has used chemical weapons are parts of liberated areas under the control of FSA. The UN investigation, thus, cannot be completed without visiting and examining these locations.

The Syrian Coalition reiterates its commitment to providing all possible facilities and protection to the UN team to ensure the team visits all locations where chemical weapons have been used. Perpetrators of crimes against the Syrian people must be brought to justice.

We ask for mercy for our martyrs, health for our wounded, and freedom for our detainees.
