While the children of the world are enjoying the warmth and safety of their homes and going to school safely, and while patients of all countries around the world go to hospitals and health centers that provide them with health care, our students and teachers are deprived of their schools which are deliberately destroyed by Russian airstrikes. These fighter jets carried out thousands of airstrikes on populated area in just five days around the clock using high explosive missiles and the internationally-banned cluster ammunition. The Russian air-force trespassed all of that is related to humanity which led to a horrific massacres killing hundreds of innocent civilians in Aleppo and its countryside. In view of the deliberate targeting of bakeries, hospitals, schools and civilians in Aleppo and its northern countryside which became almost besieged and isolated, the APC announces it a “Distressed Area”.

The brutal destruction and massacres, repugnant to the conscience of mankind and amid a shameful global silence, led to a new wave of collective displacement of tens of thousands of civilians, mostly children and women. These civilians took shelter in the western countryside of Aleppo and close to the Syrian Turkish border taking dirt as their mattresses and sky as their blankets despite the harsh winter and being chased by Russian fighter jets and missiles.

In the shadow of this humanitarian tragedy never witnessed before, the APC calls upon the UN, UNSC, humanitarian NGOs, and world governments, particularly the United States of America to bear a humanitarian responsibility and do what is necessary to stop the barbarian Russian aggression against the innocent civilians.

The APC particularly calls upon His Majesty King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, His Highness the Prince Tamim Bin Hamad and Mr. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stressing that they are entrusted with the blood of Syrians because the innocent have no helper but God except for them. The eyes and hearts of our children scared of explosion sounds are hopeful of a determined humanitarian stance that would take them back to their homes and schools without any fear that their houses might be turned into their graves by airstrikes.

To the steadfast men at the battlefronts who are standing up to the aggression of sectarian mercenaries, we are proud of you and we value your sacrifices and bravery. You are heroes and true history makers.
