The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu met with His Excellency Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al-Thani, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar at the OIC headquarters in Jeddah on Wednesday, 30 November 2011. The two sides discussed the latest developments in Syria. At the sidelines of the open-ended meeting of the OIC Executive Committee at the level of foreign ministers on the current situation in Syria, Ihsanoglu also met with the Foreign Minister of Syria, Walid Muallem, the Foreign Minister of Egypt, Mohamed Amr, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Ahmet Davutoglu and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Akbar Salehi. The meetings and consultations focused on the Syrian issue and efforts made to find a solution to the crisis in Syria.
