Statement on Hamas decision to restore ties with the ruling criminal gang in Syria

In the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful

Statement on (Hamas) decision to restore ties with the ruling criminal gang in Syria

(Praise be to the Lord of all worlds. Prayers and peace be upon our Prophet, Muhammad, his family and all of his companions)

In light of the successive statements and reports, it seems that Hamas movement is determined to restore its ties with the criminal ruling gang in Syria. In this regard, the Syrian Islamic Council has spared no effort with the help of scholars of the Islamic world to persuade Hamas movement not to proceed with such dangerous decision. Unfortunately, however, the movement did not respond to such endeavors. They, even tried to divert attention from the Islamic Council's efforts to advise and warn them by leaking a disgraceful photo depicting the Islamic Council's Scholars – who met with the movement leaders for the sole purpose of alerting them to discourage them from the decision to re-establish its relations with the criminal regime – depicted them as celebrating another marginal event, which wasn't a part of the meeting agenda.

As it warns Hamas in the strongest terms not to proceed with this dangerous and regrettable decision, and reminds it of Allah's words: {And do not incline towards the wrong-doers lest the Fire might seize you and you will have none as your protector against Allah; and then you will not prevail.},

the Council declares the following:

First: The ruling criminal gang in Syria is an enemy to all the nation's causes, aspirations, and projects of liberation from usurpers. It is an enemy to Palestine and its people just like it is an enemy to Syria and its people. Evidence to that are hundreds of massacres starting from Tel al-Zaatar in Lebanon to Tadamon and Yarmouk neighborhoods in Syria to thousands of Palestinian detainees who are still languishing in the worst human slaughterhouses of Assad.
