The Syrian Coalition expresses its deep concern over the disappearance of Father Paolo over four days ago in Raqqa and calls for the disclosure of any information that could help identify his location and ensure his safety.

The Syrian Coalition warns against any restriction placed on Father Paolo’s freedom. We urge all parties involved in the disappearance of Father Paolo to immediately come forward and release him.

Father Paolo, a wise man of peace and compassion, has worked hard to encourage unity and cooperation amongst all Syrians. He was engaged in interfaith dialogue with Muslims and forged close ties with the local populations in all regions of Syria.

The Syrian Coalition urges FSA battalions and the Local Council in Raqqa to take any possible steps to ensure the safe return of Father Paolo.

We ask for mercy for our martyrs, health for our wounded, and freedom for our detainees.
