H.E. the Secretary General’s Appeal for humanitarian assistance to alleviate the plight of the people of Syria
In response the H.E. the Secretary General’s Appeal for humanitarian assistance to alleviate the plight of the people of Syria, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has donated US$200,000 towards the humanitarian response to the Syrian refugees in Lebanon. For his part, the OIC Secretary General, Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu expresses his appreciation for the gesture of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the humanitarian domain in consolidation to Islamic Solidarity among OIC Member States, and reiterates his call on Member States, humanitarian organizations and philanthropists to generously contribute to the people of Syria who have been severely affected and displaced by the conflict.
